Today's Bible Reading: Acts 7:22-43; Job 1,2
God's love is clearly revealed in Acts today when He speaks to Moses and says He has seen the oppression of the children of Israel and is coming to deliver them. God's love for Job is seen today in His regard for Job as a blameless, upright man, who fears God and shuns evil.
I see the gospel in Acts, as Stephen continues to recount the history of the Jews, he speaks of God having compassion and coming to deliver Israel from Egyptian bondage. In the same way, Jesus came to deliver us from the bondage of sin. Jesus is also spoken of prophetically by Moses when he says, "The Lord shall raise up from you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear." Jesus was more than a prophet, He is God. Jesus is typifyed in the burnt offerings Job offered every morning for his children.
These verses were meaningful to me today: "Him you shall hear." Acts 7:37 and "Job would send and sanctify them, and would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings...thus Job did regulary." Job 1:5
I hear God saying today: Listen to the voice of Jesus and continue regulary with Me in the morning in prayer, Bible study and intercession for others.
