He is Savior and a Mighty Deliverer. He is a merciful Redeemer. He is patient with those who are slow learners and wants to increase our faith in Him.

The saving and delivering of the children of Israel at the Red Sea prefigures what Jesus would accomplish for us with a mighty deliverance from sin at the cross. Jesus shared with His disciples that HE was going to be betrayed, crucified and then rise from the dead the 3rd day.

What attributes of God’s character of love do you see in today’s reading?

He is our Deliverer who hears our complaints against Him. He provides for us and holds us accountable to His laws of love. He fights for us and is orderly in practical administration. He cares about literal and spiritual children. He saves and cares for the lost like a good shepherd. When we gather He is with us.

Where do you see the theme of Jesus and Him Crucified in today’s reading?

God is the Deliverer who saves Israel inspite of their weak, feeble and complaining nature. He continues to graciously do for Israel what they cannot do for themselves. Jesus says He came to save that which was lost.

What attributes of God’s character of love do you see in today’s reading?

God meets with His people at the Sanctuary so He can be with them, which has been His desire from the beginning. Jesus trys to reach and convict the chief priets and elders of the people through parables.

Where do you see the theme of Jesus and Him Crucified in today’s reading?

All of the sacrifices pointed to Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross for our sins. God desires the children of Irael to know that He is their God who delivered them from Egypt. He wants us to know that He is the one who delivers and saves us and wants to dwell amoung us. Jesus is the Son of the Owner of the vineyard that was killed by the wicked vinedressers in the parable.

What attributes of God’s character of love do you see in today’s reading?

He is the doctor who created us and knows what sin has done to us and desires our healing. He grants forgiveness through the symbols of the bread and the wine.  He already envisions us saved and with Him in the future in heaven. He calls His betrayer friend, is gracious with His sleepy dicsiples and heals His enemy.

Where do you see the theme of Jesus and Him Crucified in today’s reading?

What attributes of God’s character of love do you see in today’s reading?

He is the preserver of our health. He appeared above the mercy seat, indicating His character of mercy. He makes atonement for the sins of unclean people. He is holy. He willing takes the abuse and punishment that I deserve.

Where do you see the theme of Jesus and Him Crucified in today’s reading?

Atonement is provided by the offering of two turle doves and two pigeons. One is a sin offering and the other is a burnt offering. They and all other offerings, point to Jesus and the atonement He would provide for us. Jesus is our High Priest and ministers in the Heavenly Santuary now to make atonement for us by His own blood, on this the Anti-typical Day of Atonement. Jesus is betrayed, delivered to the Gentiles, called a just Man by Pilot's wife, and demanded to be crucified by a crowd who could not answer the question, "what evil has He done?" Pilate publically declared Jesus just, virtually calling Him innocent. Jesus is then scourged and delivered to be crucified.

What is the Holy Spirit saying to you through today’s reading?

I have redeemed you to Myself, by taking your sin, bearing it in your place and making atonement for you. I forgive you. Be clean.

What verse(s) are speaking to you today? Meditate & Memorize.

"For on that day the priest shall make atonement for you, to cleanse you, that you may be clean from all your sins before the Lord." Leviticus 16:30

What attributes of God’s character of love do you see in today’s reading?

He desires my fidelity to Him alone. He desires my purity. He provides atonement for my sins. He desires me to live by His word. He makes the way for me and brings me to the Promised Land (Heaven).

Where do you see the theme of Jesus and Him Crucified in today’s reading?

Jesus is represented by the various sacrifices. God provides blood to make atonement for our souls. This point to the blood of Jesus that makes atonement for my soul. Jesus was mocked and blasphemed. Three times, like when the Devil tempted Him in the wilderness, He was told by the crowd, chief priests and those hanging with Him to save Himself "if He is the Son of God." This is the same Satanic temptation the Devil used at the begining of His ministry. Satan used the crowd, chief priests and thieves to tempt Jesus. From 12pm to 3pm darkness covered the land, like the darkness of my sin. It was at that time that Jesus felt the heart wrenching seperation from the Father, cried out and died...for me.

What is the Holy Spirit saying to you through today’s reading?

Jesus endured the mockery, beatings, blasphamy and weight of sin to provide atonement for you. You are atoned for and cleansed by His blood. No go and live by His word. Live in purity.

What verse(s) are speaking to you today? Meditate & Memorize.

"Therefore you shall keep My ordinance, so that you do not commit any of these abominable customs which were committed before you, and that you do not defile yourselves by them: I am the Lord your God." Leviticus 18:30

What attributes of God’s character of love do you see in today’s reading?

He is holy. He wants me to offer Him sacrifical service of my own free will. He cares for the needs of the poor and the stranger. He is just and cares for the marginalized. He desires me to love my neighbor as myself. He forgives my sins and makes atonement for me. He loves the stranger and wants me to do the same. He is my deliverer. He sanctifies me and makes me holy.

Where do you see the theme of Jesus and Him Crucified in today’s reading?

All of the sacrifices pointed to Jesus who makes atonement for me and offers me forgiveness. The veil of the temple being torn from top to bottom, the earthquake, the dead bodies coming out and on Sunday appearing to many, the confession of the Centurion and the those with him that Jesus is the Son of God, all attest to the diviinity of Christ, the significants of His death and the authenticity of His resurection. Even the Roman guard placed around His tomb, on the Sabbath, only testifies to the certainty that He truly rose from the grave.

What is the Holy Spirit saying to you through today’s reading?

In light of the certainty of the death and resurrection of Jesus, which made atonement for your sins and your forgiveness possible, live holy, for I am the One who sanctifies you.

What verse(s) are speaking to you today? Meditate & Memorize.

What attributes of God’s character of love do you see in today’s reading?

He is holy and sanctifies me to be holy like Him. He desires a sacrifice of thanksgiving of my own free will. He delivered me from the Egypt of sin and then sanctifies me. He commissions us to share the good news and then promises to be with us in the process.

Where do you see the theme of Jesus and Him Crucified in today’s reading?

Jesus was respresented by the offerings of cattle, sheep and goats, male without blemish. The angel said to the women not to be afraid for he knew they sought Jesus who was crucified. Jesus then appears to the women disciples first and repeats the same words, "Do not be afraid." He commissions them to be the first evangelists to tell the good news of the resurrection. Both the women and the other disciples, when they see the resurected Lord they immediately fall down and worship Him. He commissions the women first then the other disciples.

What is the Holy Spirit saying to you through today’s reading?

I both justify you and sanctify you. So do not be afraid, but go and tell them about the good news.

What verse(s) are speaking to you today? Meditate & Memorize.

"Do not be afraid. Go and tell...they will see Me." Matthew 28:10
