Journal Your Thoughts

What attributes of God’s character of love do you see in today’s reading?

He makes provision for the poor and the srtanger. He makes atonement for our sins. He is my deliverer.

Where do you see the theme of Jesus and Him Crucified in today’s reading?

The Feast of Passover pointed to Jesus Christ who died at the time of the Passover offering. He is our Passover Lamb. The male lamb without blemish offered during the Feast of First fruits pointed to Jesus the spotless sacrifice for our sins. The blood of Jesus atones for our sins. Jesus preached the gospel and it was this "The time is fulfilled (time prophecy) and the kingdom of God is at hand (nearness of the kingdom). Repent and believe in the gospel (turn from sin and believe the good news). He also taught as one having authority. This should characterize my gospel preaching and teaching.

What is the Holy Spirit saying to you through today’s reading?

Your preaching and teaching should be like Jesus' preaching and teaching with authority. He preached the time is fulfilled, the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.

What verse(s) are speaking to you today? Meditate & Memorize.

"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel." Mark 1:15
